bling bling

I went to the auction yesterday and it was a lot of fun, even if they didn’t have as much inventory as I thought they would. There were several things that we wanted to buy, but in most cases the bidding was a little too rich for our blood. For example, an older computer we wanted to get to use as a dedicated server sold for $19, a HUGE microwave we wanted sold for a little over $20, and a scanner Lauren wanted went for $15. But we did NOT walk away empty handed, I was determined to get a watch and so I bought two lots of 6 watches. Below are 11 of those watches.

Though I’d wear about 3 of them, my absolute favorite is the Citizen gold watch. Getting a Citizen watch has always been one of those “life goal” kinda things, something I never really thought I would indulge in, but then to have one land in your lap for 1/6 of $5 is unbelievable. One interesting part of this watch is the date, which you can see below IS IN SPANISH! Hoy es miĆ©rcoles. How cool is that!

Lauren also ended up getting a microwave for $6, since our current one has been on it’s last leg for longer than I care to think about. The button on the bottom doesn’t even open the door anymore, so hopefully this one will be an upgrade. If it works.

Well, I do have more to talk about, but since I should probably do some physics before I go to work, it’s time to say goodbye for now.
