I’ve always thought that when people use aim, that it would be really nice if everyone used a picture of themselves so it would feel more like I was communicating with an actual person. With this in mind I created my own buddy icon, which most of you have probably seen, but that doesn’t help me much because I don’t instant message myself unless I’m very, very lonely. So I took it upon myself to create buddy icons of everyone on my buddy list that I have a digital picture of. The results are below:

For those who feel slighted, I just didn’t have a decent digital picture of you. Send me one and I would be more than happy to make you one. If you feel that I didn’t choose the best picture of you, just send me one you like and again i will be more than happy to make you another buddy icon.

Quick tutorial on how to use these icons:
1) Right click on yours and choose “Save Picture As…”
2) Save it in a place where you can find it.
3) Open AIM
4) Hit F3
5) In the left pane click on “buddy icons”
6) In the right pane find the “browse pc” button and use the file selector that pops up to find the buddy icon where you saved it.
7) Voila, new buddy icon that everyone will cherish.
